6 Great Outdoor Bars (Bushwick, East Williamsburg)

Let’s be real. The best thing about summer is being able to get out and have a cold beer or a cocktail with your friends. There’s just something about drinking in the summer that goes hand in hand, don’t you think?

Well, we do. That’s why we rounded up some of the best outdoor spots in Bushwick and East Williamsburg that have become neighborhood favorites.

6. Central Station (84 Central Ave, Bushwick)

First off, everything is train-themed. The spot is a classy, chill affordable place to unwind at anytime. You’ll have a great selection of beers, wines and classic cocktails with a punch. The best part is that the prices are pretty great, and there’s even a spacious backyard.

P.S. Try the wings and the burger here, the food is GREAT!

5. The Rookery  (425 Troutman St, Bushwick)

This contemporary Brooklyn pub serves up draft beer on tap, classic cocktails, wine and British-West Indian inspired food. The pub flaunts its outdoor beer garden in the front of the establishment along with its 16-foot horseshoe-shaped bar.

4. Huckleberry Bar (588 Grand St, East Williamsburg)

The big draw here is everything. Seriously! From the verdant garden, to the fresh signature cocktails this location always provides a fun atmosphere. On Friday and Saturday you can enjoy what the DJ is spinning, and Sunday and Monday draws a crowd for some on-screen entertainment.

3. Forrest Point (970 Flushing Ave, Bushwick)

Who would have guessed that this cool restaurant would be here? It used to be an old gas station, but is surprisingly it’s become a great restaurant that you need to have on your summer to-go list. The spot flaunts a front yard where you can admire the outside murals that were added to the façade.

P.S. Brunch is cool, but dessert is cooler. With homemade ice cream sandwiches and cast iron s’mores, you can abandon that summer diet for a quick, sweet treat!

2. Falansai (112 Harrison Pl, East Williamsburg)

A backyard, garden space and the koi pond tend to have people coming back for more at Falansai (faa-laan-sai). The Vietnamese kitchen offers street food for lunch and entrée options for dinner. You’ll get to choose from the extensive wine menu, ciders, beers and non-alcoholic beverages.

1. Nowadays (56-06 Cooper Avenue, Bushwick/Ridgewood)

Nowadays should be your ultimate backyard hangout for the summer. New to the Bushwick- Ridgewood border, this urban oasis has picnic tables, strung up lights, and games. You can play bocce ball, hop on the Ping Pong table or play a game of chess and backgammon. Since the place is in a great outdoor location, kids love it and you can even bring your dog (on a leash). There’s a great selection of food for everyone, and you’ll have an option of beer, sangria or wine (no liquor yet). You’ll absolutely love it.
