With Fall almost here, we are ready for Halloween. Get yourself in the spirit with the Brooklyn Horror Fest! The movie festival will take place in multiple locations including Bushwick’s Syndicated and Catland Books. The festival organizers promise to showcase the best of the best of the independent horror scene.
The festival will last three days (October 14-16) and will be featuring an international selection of brand new horror. The opening film, “Dearest Sister”, happens to be the 13th film ever produced by Laos in its whole history as well as being directed by Lao’s only female filmmaker.
The closing night, “Child Eater” will be playing at Syndicated theater. The world premiere of this film will be that night and it seems to be one of the most promising films at the festival. The movie deals with a cannibal type monster that eats children as a way to survive and promises to make you scream.
Some other venues that will be participating in the festival are The Wythe Hotel, Videology, Muriel Schulman Theater at Triskelion Arts, Spectacle Theater, and Throne Watches. There will also be special Brooklyn filmmaker showcase, so be on the lookout.
Visit the Brooklyn Horror Fest website to view the detailed schedule and locations. The tickets will go on sale on September 13th and range between $10-$18. We hope to see you there!
